With our annual “Members’ Best” photo contest gearing up, we thought we’d give you a few tips to take your pictures to the next level, perhaps even to the pages of American Hunter magazine next June.

When hunting season opens, so do submissions for “Members’ Best”!

Your photos provide not simply a review of your accomplishments and endeavors over the past year, but a revealing snapshot of a nation full of dedicated American Hunters. Trends emerge, be it in the game pursued or the hunters pursuing it, and the staff here welcomes both the insight and the stories that come with your images.

Anecdotal evidence suggests many hunters and gun owners are receiving Facebook ‘friend’ requests from people they don’t know—folks who aren’t even in their network on the social media forum. Even more onerous is an uptick in the number of hunters recently reported to Facebook for their ‘offensive’ hunting pictures. Is a social media jihad being waged against us on Facebook?

In step with women being the fastest growing segment of hunters, this year's "Members' Best" feature highlights more than a few trophy shots of women with their bows and guns.
