Federal Ammunition is continuing its support of the 134-year-old Boone and Crockett Club (B&C) through a Trailblazer in Conservation sponsorship.

Did you know that the majority of wildlife violations never result in citations? Sure, with so much ground to cover, it may be easy to guess that most violations committed deep in the backcountry will never see the light of day, but the scale is still quite surprising. 

The Boone and Crockett Club (B&C) and Pope and Young Club (P&Y) announced in August that they have completed scoring procedures and are now accepting entries for javelina (collared peccary, Pecari tajacu) in their record books.

More than 550 people attended the Boone and Crockett Club (B&C) Buck Buckner 32nd Big Game Awards events in Springfield, Mo., in late July. The triennial event celebrates the most impressive animals accepted into the club’s record book in all 38 categories.

The speed at which mind-boggling advances were introduced last year underscores the importance of the joint effort launched by the Boone and Crockett Club and National Rifle Association’s Hunters’ Leadership Forum (HLF) in 2023. Last year the result of that project, the free Fair Chase and Hunter Ethics Course, went live.

The Boone & Crockett Club’s Generation Next Youth Awards, amid the organization’s 31^st Big Game Awards, included a remarkable 132 great animals entered. Among the black bears, pronghorns, mountain goats and mule deer were eight typical and eight non-typical whitetails taken in nine different states.
