The folks over at American Rifleman TV have taken a closer look at the Remington Model 783.

Mossberg announced its new Patriot bolt-action rifle at SHOT Show 2015, and the positive response was immediate. Our friends at American Rifleman have further honored the Patriot in naming it an NRA Gun of the Week. You can get a closer look at the new release in the video embedded above.

Winchester has announced the launch of its latest addition to the venerable Model 70 line in the Ultimate Shadow Hunter SS. The Shadow Hunter SS sports a lightweight synthetic stock in the new Mossy Oak Break-Up Country camouflage pattern, alongside a stainless steel receiver that features the popular pre-'64 style controlled round feeding with claw extractor and fixed ejector.

Always a leader in generational deer rifles—see the Model 94 lever-action, pre-’64 Model 70 “Rifleman’s Rifle” and the later, push-feed version of the Model 70—Winchester has jumped into the fray with its new XPR.

Although this particular bolt gun at first seemed an unlikely choice for a safari—it was named for a mountain range in upstate New York and designed for hunting heavily timbered terrain—the minimal dimensions and balance of the Kimber Adirondack proved an easy-handling rifle has a place on any continent.

Scout rifles—first made popular by Gunsite founder Jeff Cooper more than three decades ago now—have experienced a revival of sorts in recent years. Among the latest additions to the market is the Savage Arms Model 11 Scout, having made its debut at SHOT Show 2015.

The Model 11/111 Hog Hunter stems from the Model 110 rifle action that has made Savage so popular. Designed with the nation's ever-growing feral pig population in mind, the Hog Hunter features a 20" barrel that comes factory threaded for any muzzle device that you might have in mind. And, starting this year, it became available in .338 Federal.
