For 2019, Federal has brought back the popular Barnes TSX, an all-copper hollow point that groups tightly at long range and delivers consistent, lethal expansion.

Although just 1.75-inch long, Federal’s new Shorty shotshells offer similar patterns, energy and accuracy as full-size counterparts, and are perfect for teaching new hunters how to handle a full-sized shotgun.

Waterfowl hunters have used the Winchester’s reliable Xpert steel loads for years, and the company adds to its famous line for 2019, introducing its new Xpert Snow Goose 12-gauge ammo, available in both 3- and 3½-inch shell lengths.

Winchester’s all-new Deer Season slug utilizes a rear stabilized wad that travels downrange with the slug, separating upon impact. The combination results in greatly improved accuracy, as well as retained velocity to maximize energy downrange.

Whether for range use, personal defense or hunting, Federal’s new Shorty shotshells pack a similar punch to their bigger brothers in a small, 1¾-inch shell. Loaded with No. 8 shot, No. 4 buckshot or a rifled slug, there’s a reduced-recoil Shorty for you.

Using a blue polymer tip and a boattail configuration, Norma’s new BondStrike bullet gives the hunter a fantastic all-around ammo choice for game of all shapes and sizes. When the bullet’s lead core is chemically bonded to the copper jacket, expansion is slowed to allow for deep penetration.

Hornady has added the classic .348 Winchester to its popular LEVERevolution line, using the 200-grain FTX bullet. With its proprietary Flex-Tip meplat, the FTX bullet is perfectly safe to use in the tubular magazine of the Model 71—and many other lever guns—yet offers the downrange benefit of a spitzer bullet.

Winchester’s new 350 Legend cartridge is a .223 case blown out to have straight walls, making it a perfectly viable choice for those states which require the use of a straight-walled rifle cartridge for deer hunting, and boasts an energy advantage of 120 ft.-lbs. over the veteran .30-30 Win., yet delivers less recoil than the old deer classic.

The second cartridge to bear the Precision Rifle Cartridge moniker, Hornady’s new .300 PRC is a beltless non-rebated .30-caliber magnum rifle cartridge designed for extreme performance at long range.
