Our friends at American Rifleman recently took a closer look at the ETHOS in an episode of American Rifleman TV.

When Benelli's original Lupo hit shelves in 2020, it shook up the hunting rifle market as a deadly accurate and reliable hunting gun for the serious backcountry hunter. Now, the company looks to add to that legacy with the Lupo HPR BE.S.T. Standing for "High Precision Rifle," the HPR BE.S.T is intended as a crossover gun, designed to bridge the gap between extreme long--range shooting and hunting.

Featuring a shortened barrel, reduced-length magazine tube and a lightweight carbon-fiber stepped rib, the new Montefeltro Ultra Light weighs 6.3 pounds for the 12-gauge model and 5.3 pounds for the 20-gauge model.

Benelli’s new 828U Sport over/under shotgun is based on the company’s revolutionary 828U platform with its patented, innovative steel locking plate and streamlined receiver. It features an integrated adjustment capability using a combination of small weights in the buttstock, allowing users to balance the shotgun to their preferred shooting style.

For Kyle Wintersteen, the Benelli Vinci was not a “love at first sight” type of gun. Frankly, he had serious reservations about the gun’s aesthetics, especially its rather bulbous trigger guard and unconventional lines.

The 828U has been one of the year's hottest new releases, and that's a big part of the reason our friends at American Rifleman made it an NRA Gun of the Week.

It's safe to say that the Benelli ETHOS was well-received. Heck, we gave it a Golden Bullseye Award for Shotgun of the Year. So it wasn't much of a surprise when Benelli continued to flesh out the ETHOS line last year with the introduction of a 20-gauge variant. For 2016, the company took things a step further and releasing a 28-gauge ETHOS.
