Cabela's has announced that the 2014 edition of its "NRA Weekend" event will be hosted by the company's retail locations this coming weekend, Sept. 13 and 14, respectively. All new and current NRA members who join or renew their membership during NRA Weekend will receive a $25 Cabela’s gift certificate.

Hogs and Doves the West Texas Way

On a dove and hog hunt in west Texas last year, America Hunter field editor Brian McCombie made some new friends, tested out new gear and took the biggest boar hog of his life. The hunt was held at the T-Diamond Ranch, an NRA Outdoors approved outfitter headed by Roy Wilson. McCombie was joined by eight other hunters, all NRA members—including two father-son teams.

Outpost Armory Announces All NRA Shooting Range in Tennessee

The Outpost Armory has announced a 27,000 square foot, state-of-the-art firearms range, training facility and retail store expansion in Tennessee, to be completed during winter 2016. Of particular note is the fact that the new range will be available exclusively to NRA members.

Viva Mexico Quail Hunting

While U.S. upland bird seasons are closed by March, this month is prime time for quail hunting in some parts of sunny Mexico, particularly for the black-throated bobwhite variety found throughout the Yucatan Peninsula. NRA Outdoors, a service that organizes hunting and fishing excursions specially tailored to NRA members, offers an intriguing three-day hunt in Yucatan’s rural northern coastal plain, not far from the tourist mecca of Cancun. A party of six American hunters, including NRA Outdoors chief Greg Ray and Editorial Director John Zent, found the welcome there to be as warm as the weather, the birds were abundant, and the shooting downright excellent.

The 146th National Rifle Association Annual Meetings and Exhibits Sponsored by MidwayUSA is scheduled for April 27-30, 2017, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Tens of thousands of NRA members and Second Amendment supporters are expected to attend the four-day celebration of freedom. With 15 acres of guns and gear, this year's event will be the biggest NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits ever.
