This week, we’re taking a closer look at the Savage Renegauge in TrueTimber Prairie. A waterfowl-minded 12-gauge with a distinctly soft kick, the Renegauge Prairie utilizes Savage's D.R.I.V. gas system to keep shooting both comfortable and reliable. True to form for Savage, both length of pull and comb height are user adjustable, which is crucial when figuring one's perfect fit on a shotgun. Finally, the magazine port has been beveled for easy loading, even when gloved up and waiting for ducks. Learn more about this smooth-shooting shotgun in the video embedded above, hosted by Managing Editor Rose Bier and Digital Associate Editor David Herman. MSRP: $1,707; savagearms.com.
