Gamelander Retay Straight Wall Shotshow

Retay USA has expanded it's single-shot Gamelander rifle line to include a dedicated series of straight-walled chamberings. This new lineup is specifically designed to meet the needs of hunters in "straight-wall-only" states.

As more regions implement regulations favoring straight-walled cartridges for deer hunting, Retay has engineered these new Gamelander models to maximize the ballistic potential of these rounds. Each rifle features Retay's signature Deep Bore Drilling technology, ensuring exceptional barrel consistency and accuracy that promises to outperform traditional button-rifled barrels. The new Gamelander configurations will be available in four of the industry's most popular and effective straight-walled calibers:

  • 350 Legend
  • 360 Buckhammer
  • .444 Marlin
  • .450 Bushmaster

Key Features:

  • Deep Bore Drilled Barrel: Unlike hammer-forged barrels, Retay's barrels are drilled from solid steel for a perfectly straight bore.
  • Quick Take-Down System: A push-button take-down design allows for rapid disassembly, making it packable for long hikes and backcountry hunts.
  • Adjustable Cheek Piece: The adjustable cheek piece is easily configured to fit the shooter.
  • Advanced Ergonomics: Features an adjustable cheekpiece for a custom fit, and the innovative AIRY Recoil Pad, which uses air-pocket technology to maximize shooter comfort and reduce felt recoil by 30 percent.
  • Optics Ready: The receiver comes drilled and tapped with a low-profile picatinny rail, ready for your favorite scope.

"The Gamelander was built from the ground up to be a hunter's rifle—uncomplicated, accurate, incredibly tough, and a great price." says Michael Narus, VP of Sales and Marketing. "By bringing the most popular straight walled cartridges into the Gamelander family, we are giving hunters in the Midwest and beyond a premium, high-performance option that doesn't compromise on quality just because of caliber restrictions." The Retay Gamelander straight-walled series will begin shipping to authorized retailers in Spring 2026.

Michigan Mayor Looks Down on Guns and Dogs

“If you’ve got a gun, you should be ashamed of yourself,” said Grand Rapids Mayor David LaGrand. NRA-ILA also noted that in his response to a police K-9 chasing down a suspect, LaGrand said: “It is time that we ask, ‘What are dogs good for?’ Like, if you need a dog to find someone in the woods, get a hound dog. If you need to chase somebody in a backyard, why couldn’t you do that with a drone? If my dog did what I saw in that video, I’d put my dog down.”
