NRA Competitive Shooting needs you. The 2015 Long Range World Championships will be held at Camp Perry, Ohio. In 2014, NRA Competitive Shooting plans a dress rehearsal Aug. 4-10. Organizers need target pullers both years, but right now they’d really just like to nail down commitments from folks for this summer.

Each target puller will receive free housing in the new barracks building or one of the new “hutments.” Either barracks has air conditioning (a plus at Camp Perry in the summer). Sounds like a great opportunity for some folks to learn about and help a core NRA program and take in some nearby sights like the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Back in 1963, my dad asked if I wanted to go deer hunting in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (what we locals call the U.P.). We had no tent, no camper and no cabin, although we did have a horse truck, and we converted it into a deer camp. Read on for this week's Member's Hunt, from Jim Mikkelsen.
