For instance, Hornady's Precision Hunter 103-grain ELD-X 6mm ARC load leaves he barrel at 2800 fps, and sports a .258 G7 ballistic coefficient. That's quite a recipe for a dependably flat shooter. While this is one example, the cartridge is also designed to work well with a variety of bullet weights, the 1:8-inch twist exhibiting a broad measure of versatility, so hunters can adjust their loads according to their intended quarry. I myself have used the round on critters from prairie dogs (a bit overkill) to pronghorn, from close in to out past 400 yards, and found it a packs a dependable punch in every instance.
