Dual Steel And Bismuth

Baschieri & Pellagri USA has debuted two new shotshell options that promise to hit hard and fold waterfowl in an instant—Dual Steel and Dual Bismuth.

The Dual Steel shotshell combines two overlapping layers of steel pellets (steel and plated steel) of different sizes to maximize pattern longevity and effectiveness from standard and external choke tubes. Dual Steel is available in 3-inch, 12-gauge #2 & #3 shot, in 1 1/8- and 1 1/4-ounce payloads traveling at 1,425 fps.

Meanwhile, Dual Bismuth shotshells use pellets that are denser than lead but softer than steel, which yields penetration and maximizes energy transfer. Two shot sizes are stacked together in such a way as to create fully homogeneous shot patterns. Dual Bismuth is available in 2 3/4- and 3-inch, 12-gauge filled with #3 & #4 shot, in payload offerings of 1 1/5 and 1 1/4 ounces moving at 1,350 fps.

Dual Steel and Dual Bismuth feature B&P's tried-and-true GreenCore Wad—designed to protect the barrel and ensure performance no matter the environmental conditions. GreenCore is a 100-percent biodegradable wad that leaves behind no particles or toxic residue.

Behind the Bullet: The .308 Norma Magnum

The .308 Norma Magnum closely resembles the wildcat .30-338 cartridge, though the shoulder of the former is located a bit more toward the base than that of the .308 Norma Magnum. Intrigued?
