NRA Midwayusa Warehouse Donation Lead

The NRA Foundation is proud to announce that earlier this month Larry and Brenda Potterfield of MidwayUSA donated a 139,120-square foot warehouse and 8.81 acres of land in Boone County, Missouri.

“We are fortunate and pleased to donate this building to The NRA Foundation, an organization who shares our vision and support of the Second Amendment,” said Larry Potterfield, MidwayUSA Founder and Executive Chair of Board of Directors. While no longer part of MidwayUSA, this building will continue to provide support of shooting sports for the foreseeable future.”

The donation will provide valuable space for The NRA Foundation and Friends of NRA, which was started on the same property. Larry and Brenda Potterfield, along with a committee of volunteers dreamed up the blockbuster fundraising program and held the first Friends of NRA banquet in 1992. Since inception, the program has held over 25,000 events, reached 4.5 million attendees and raised more than $1 billion in support of the shooting sports.

Friends of NRA is a grassroots fundraising program that fosters community involvement and allocates 100 percent of net proceeds to qualified local, state and national programs. Working with Friends of NRA staff, thousands of volunteers nationwide get involved by helping to organize committees and plan fundraising events in their communities.

“The NRA Foundation is incredibly thankful for all that Larry, Brenda, and MidwayUSA have done for the shooting sports and Second Amendment over the years,” said Wayne LaPierre, NRA CEO and Executive Vice President. “Over 30 years after Larry, Brenda, and the first group of volunteers started the Friends of NRA in this very building, The NRA Foundation will move in thanks to this amazing donation.”

“Larry and Brenda Potterfield and the entire MidwayUSA family are heroes of the Second Amendment movement. We can’t thank them enough for their leadership, integrity, dedication and unmatched generosity. We are proud to stand with them in defense of Freedom,” said Tyler Schropp, Executive Director of The NRA Foundation.
