LEDE Brush Hog Holster

Galco has launched the Brush Hog Belt Holster, to protect hunters' pistols from nature and the elements while keeping them ready for quick action in the field.

The Brush Hog's snapping flap protects and secures the pistol while also providing sufficient overhang to shield a mounted optic from scratching brush and precipitation. Using premium steerhide construction, it features hand molding for added retention and superior appearance. The flap is quickly and easily released using the glove-friendly polymer tab.

Packaged with a polymer belt slot that's adjustable for belt width, an optional Belt Drop is also available. It can increase the speed of the draw, clear equipment ranging from rain gear to body armor, ride below a backpack's waist straps, and make the draw easier for short-waisted and/or female shooters. The Brush Hog's leg thong is particularly useful when used in combination with the optional Belt Drop.

The Brush Hog is currently available for 5-inch 1911s with or without carry-style optics. Given the current prevalence of 10mm 1911s, this is a real boon for hunters. For more information, visit galcogunleather.com.
