Just in time for a potentially rainy turkey season, Dryshod has announced a new waterproof camouflage hunting boot. The Shredder MXT stays true to the core features of the original Shredder, but with the addition of an MXT outsole. This new natural-rubber outsole is designed with high sidewals for improved support and protection around the sides, heel and toe areas. The tread on its exterior is aggressive, designed for traction in all terrains. This is further aided by robust lugs and wide void areas for grip in mud, and other wet surfaces.

As with all Dryshod footwear, the Shredder MXT is 100-percent waterproof thanks to its 5mm densoprene foam-insulated bootie. A hydrokote water-repellent treatment on the fabric, meanwhile, keeps the easy-roll-down upper from becoming soggy, and sheds mud so the boots stay clean. To keep feet dry and comfortable, the boots are finished with a 4-way stretch breathable airmesh lining. Finally, the steel-shanked Shredder MXTs are finished in full camouflage along the rubber overlays, and roll-down calf pipe.

Early-Start Big-Game Hunts

With whitetail populations in some areas exceeding management goals, many states are offering special seasons, extra tags, and other incentives to entice hunters to get out there early and more often. States also offer early opportunities for many other big-game species; in fact, there are so many opportunities that it can be difficult to even keep up with your own state, whereas early seasons across state boundaries can easily be missed out on.
