Browning Ammunition has added a polymer tipped sabot slug to its product line. BXS Slugs join the company's BXD Turkey, BXD Waterfowl and BXD Upland as the brand's shotshells designed exclusively for hunting.

New offerings include:

• 12-gauge 2¾-inch 1 oz. sabot slug
• 20-gauge 2¾-inch ¾ oz. sabot slug

“For hunters looking for exceptional accuracy with tremendous knockdown power, Browning Ammunition’s new BXS Slug provides these hunters with the performance needed to ensure success with every pull of the trigger,” said Ben Frank, Browning Ammunition brand manager.

Both slugs feature a solid copper, large-diameter sabot slug with a polymer tip. When using a fully rifled shotgun barrel the polymer-tipped slug and accompanying sabot have been designed to provide maximum accuracy and energy transfer.

BXS Slugs will come five rounds to a box.

Hardware Review: Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 A.I. BE.S.T

The Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 A.I. BE.S.T. is, put simply, on the fast track to being considered a waterfowling marvel. Standing for Advanced Impact technology, the SBE 3 A.I. shoots its shot with  improved downrange results thanks to a very, very proprietary barrel technology that actually assists in energy retention for greater downrange velocity. Sounds crazy, right? That’s what I thought too; then I took the gun to Montana’s Bighorn River and had my mind blown.
