As the recommendations to socially distance and wear cloth masks in public continue around the nation, ScentLok has begun offering masks to do its part to help "flatten the curve."

“As businesses begin to reopen around the country … as people start traveling again and are permitted to gather in larger numbers, it appears that face coverings are going to be common—if not required—for a long time,” says Aaron Ambur, president and CEO of Muskegon, Michigan-based Nexus Outdoors, parent company to ScentLok Technologies.

Given strong sales for existing face coverings, Ambur says he and his team in Muskegon saw an opportunity to supply the public with a new mask design that was even more well-suited for everyday wear, while opening up a new revenue stream to help fund the preparation and delivery of at-home meals for kids in need in their local community.

“Our new ScentLok Essential Facemask is comfortable, adjustable, and offers the additional protection of carbon filtration,” says Ambur. “These well-engineered masks provide comfortable protection and regulatory compliance for when folks need to venture out, while also allowing us to contribute critical dollars to our local Kids’ Food Basket Program.”

The masks, which include a soft wire nose and toggle-adjustable top and bottom straps, are 100-percent polyester knit, with a carbon layer for additional
filtration. Fully washable for continued use, the masks are available in Realtree or Mossy Oak patterns, and 10-percent of proceeds generated by the Essential Facemasks are donated weekly to the aforementioned Kids Food Basket Muskegon, helping to deliver in-home meals to feed over 1,200 kids daily.

Hardware Review: Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 A.I. BE.S.T

The Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 A.I. BE.S.T. is, put simply, on the fast track to being considered a waterfowling marvel. Standing for Advanced Impact technology, the SBE 3 A.I. shoots its shot with  improved downrange results thanks to a very, very proprietary barrel technology that actually assists in energy retention for greater downrange velocity. Sounds crazy, right? That’s what I thought too; then I took the gun to Montana’s Bighorn River and had my mind blown.
