Traditions Firearms has announced that its new Prairie Hawken Rifle is in stock and ready to ship. Also available is a Prairie Hawken Build-It-Yourself kit.

Based off the rifles used during the Rocky Mountain Fur Trading era, the Prairie Hawken Rifle can serve as a nostalgic addition to any collection. The .50-caliber rifle has a 28-inch barrel with a 1:48" twist. It features a double-set trigger and two-tenon sidelock design. It has custom silver inlays on the mortise and buttstock, as well as a custom two-piece forend cap.

The Prairie Hawken is available in either percussion or flintlock and as a finished rifle or in a Build-It-Yourself kit. Finished rifles will be available beginning at $609, while kits start at $478.
