In Namibia’s Caprivi Strip, a boat is basic transportation as the region is covered in water. Every outfit uses a boat first before putting boots on the ground. And every outfit that does so inevitably puts itself at odds with the region’s hippo population. Professional hunter Phillip Fourie and his client, Louisiana hunter Knighton Sample, navigate their way through pods of the big animals that don’t particularly like seeing humans in their swimming holes. It’s all part of a “typical African experience.”
