Hornady has announced that InterBond bullets are returning to production. New manufacturing techniques have been incorporated that the company says has helped create an even more accurate and consistent bonded bullet.

Hornady's InterBond design was originally launched in 2003. Unlike partitioned or dual-core bullets, where the front core can separate from the bullet mass, the proprietary bonding process of the InterBond bullet holds together in a single mass. The idea is to deliver a deep, wide wound channel without over-penetrating.

Thanks to the company’s bonding process, InterBond bullets retain more than 90 percent of their mass. It’s impressive stuff.

For 2017, Hornady will be producing InterBond bullets in 6 mm, .25 cal., 6.5 mm, .270 cal., 7 mm, .30 cal. and .338 cal.
