In 2020, Colt relaunched its renowned Python revolver with two barrel length options—4.25-inch and 6-inch. For 2022, the company has announced that it is bringing back the 3-inch-barrelled version.

The new Python is a close copy of the original with the internal structural improvements that should provide you and your kids years of service. Fit and finish of the highly polished stainless-steel components are excellent with an attractive set of walnut grips that shame the older Python versions.

Colt’s popular “Snake Gun” revolver series gains a new addition with the updated Anaconda, featuring a fully adjustable rear sight, wide hammer spur, open-back rubber Hogue grips, replaceable front sight with orange insert, and a top strap already drilled and tapped for mounting optics.

Co-developed by Nighthawk Custom and Korth, the new Ranger sports a 4-inch barrel, interchangeable 9mm and .38 Spl. cylinders, and integrated top and bottom Picatinny rails for mounting optics, lasers, lights or other accessories.

Kimber introduces the K6s DASA, outfitted with a double- and single-action trigger mechanism. Chambered in .357 Mag. and available with a 2- or 3-inch barrel, the lightweight six-shooter is a great choice for backcountry carry and protection.

This massive 17.5-inch-barreled .45-70 BFR from Magnum Research’s custom shop is entirely stainless steel, and features a Hogue rubber grip, adjustable sights, an octagonal barrel and pentagon-shaped 5-round cylinder.

Chambered in .500 Linebaugh, the newest Magnum Research BFR features a Bisley grip, brushed stainless-steel construction, a 5-shot cylinder and a 7½-inch stress-relieved barrel.

When Colt introduced its new and improved Python revolver a couple of years ago, hunters admired it but waited for their gun: the Anaconda. Last year they got it, a .44 Magnum hunting handgun with a glossy finish, big grips and the world-famous Colt ventilated rib.
