New for 2017, Winchester has expanded the Deer Season XP line to include two new offerings: the 64-grain .223 Remington and the 125-grain 6.5 Creedmoor.

Winchester has expanded its popular Deer Season XP line. For 2016, three new calibers will be entering the fray: .30-30 Win., 7mm-08 and .300 Blackout.

Winchester’s all-new Deer Season slug utilizes a rear stabilized wad that travels downrange with the slug, separating upon impact. The combination results in greatly improved accuracy, as well as retained velocity to maximize energy downrange.

Winchester’s new Deer Season slug looks similar to a traditional Foster-style slug, but is paired with a rear stabilizer that is inserted into the heel of the projectile, resulting in increased accuracy.

The Pennsylvania Board of Game Commissioners voted to change the opening day of firearm deer season from the Monday after Thanksgiving to the Saturday after Thanksgiving, breaking a Pennsylvania tradition that has stood for more than half a century.

Deer Season XP Copper Impact hits hard, expands consistently and delivers massive amounts of trauma as it penetrates deep. Suitable for much more than deer, it should be a welcome complement to any hunter’s rifle.
