These five cartridges are seeing renewed interest from deer hunters thanks to new hunting laws and improved ballistic performance. 

Troy Defense’s Model SPAR-S3F-18MT-01 is a 50-state legal pump-action rifle that mimics the design and features commonly found on today’s popular AR-10 rifles. It feeds from SR25 magazines and is chambered for the hefty, but fun to shoot, .338 Fed. cartridge.

For 2019, Ruger has introduced a new model of its popular AR-556 MPR chambered for the straight-walled .450 Bushmaster cartridge. The bolt is machined from high-strength superalloy, and engineered with tapered lugs to support the large case head of .450 Bushmaster ammo.
