Federal's lever-action focused line of HammerDown ammunition already included options such as .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, .30-30 Winchester, .45-70 Government, and more. Now, a 270-grain load of 444 Marlin is available.

Chambered in .30-30 Winchester, the new Rossi R95 lever-action rifle features a hammer-forged barrel, a smooth hand finished lever action, a large loading gate, and is drilled and tapped for optics. 

Deer rifles and the cartridges loaded in them have run the gamut the last 50 years, from the Winchester 94 in .30-30 Win. to the Weatherby Mark V in .30-378 Wby. Mag. and the DPMS ARL in 6.5 Creedmoor.

Developed in 1976 by Ken Waters as a wildcat cartridge, the 7-30 Waters is based on the .30-30 Winchester necked down to 7mm to improve velocity and trajectory, with a significant drop off in felt recoil. In 1984, Winchester began to produce rifles chambered for cartridge, legitimizing Waters’ dream, and establishing it as a commercial cartridge.

The new 350 Legend is designed specifically for hunters to deliver massive downrange energy transfer with improved penetration from a modern straight-walled cartridge, and boasts more muzzle energy than the .30-30 Win., .300 BLK and .223 Rem.

Winchester’s new 350 Legend cartridge is a .223 case blown out to have straight walls, making it a perfectly viable choice for those states which require the use of a straight-walled rifle cartridge for deer hunting, and boasts an energy advantage of 120 ft.-lbs. over the veteran .30-30 Win., yet delivers less recoil than the old deer classic.

Federal Premium has announced the launch of its Non-Typical line of ammunition, which is specifically built with the American deer hunter in mind. It will feature 13 popular hunting cartridges and bullet weight options.

Hornady gives the 7-30 Waters a new lease on life by adding it in their popular LeveRevolution line.

Thompson/Center has made a habit of pushing interchangeable firearms platforms in recent years, and now they're making the idea more appealing than even with the reintroduction of the G2 Contender—which hunters will be able to purchase in either rifle or pistol form.
