TriStar Arms has introduced the Upland Hunter Thumbhole Stock, a 20-gauge over/under shotgun built for the field. Lightweight and well balanced, the Upland Hunter Thumbhole Stock is designed to deliver consistent patterns across a wide range of turkey hunting scenarios.
The 20-gauge platform has become a popular choice among gobbler hunters for its controllability and efficiency. Weighing approximately six pounds, the Upland Hunter Thumbhole Stock offers a natural point and steady swing. Its over/under configuration allows two different chokes to be used at the same time, giving the shooter the ability to select which barrel to fire from based on distance, using the barrel selector. A tighter choke can be chosen for longer shots, while a more open choke is immediately available for close range opportunities, eliminating the need to change chokes in the field.
"The Upland Hunter Thumbhole Stock delivers practical versatility and dependable performance," said Ryan Bader, president of TriStar Arms. "Running two chokes in an over/under setup allows for quick decisions when distances change."
The Upland Hunter Thumbhole Stock features chrome-lined barrels, a ventilated rib with a fiber-optic front sight for fast sight alignment, and a single selective trigger with a top tang safety that also functions as the barrel selector. Five Beretta and Benelli style Mobil choke tubes are included, consisting of SK, IC, M, IM and F, allowing patterns to be tailored to specific conditions.
A bronze finished receiver paired with Mossy Oak Greenleaf furniture provides a classic hunting appearance while offering effective concealment. The over/under break action design delivers reliability, straightforward maintenance, and confidence in the field.
