LEDE Magpul ELG Stock And Forend

Magpul unveiled new lever-action furniture—an Enhanced Lever Gun (ELG) M-LOK Stock for the Marlin 1895, 1894, and 336 models, alongside an ELG Hand Guard specific to the Marlin 1895—at the recent 2024 NRA Annual Meetings (NRAAM) in Dallas, Texas. These new lever-action parts add features, ergonomics and a new look to 1895-pattern guns, and they will also be available from Marlin on their Trapper Rifle later this July.

The ELG M-LOK Stock gives shooters a stock with maximum adaptability without changing the vintage feel of the iconic Marlin lever-action rifle. Weatherized and lightweight, the ELG stock comes with spacers to adjust both LOP and comb height. This is especially useful for lever arms like the Trapper Series Model 1895, which sports a Picatinny rail on top for the easy attachment of optics. An adjustable comb height makes it incredibly convenient to better position your cheek weld to align with a magnified optic.

Onboard Stock Storage

A compartment inside the stock allows for onboard ammo storage or a place to stow other items, while M-LOK slots provide room for aftermarket accessories. The ELG Stock also accepts Type 1 and Type 2 QD cups for a variety of sling mounting options, and a QD sling swivel cup located in the bottom of the pistol grip adds further options for carrying the rifle.

Complementing this ELG M-LOK Stock is the ELG M-LOK Hand Guard, which includes an integrated hand stop at its muzzle end. The ELG M-LOK Hand Guard features six (6) M-LOK slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions for mounting a variety of accessories, and bringing increased usability and utility to a Marlin 1895. These can be used for anything from bipods to lights and IR lasers.

Both the ELG M-LOK Stock and Hand Guard will be available in Black, FDE, and OD Green. For more information, visit magpul.com. MSRP: Stock $139.95; Hand Guard $79.95

Michigan Mayor Looks Down on Guns and Dogs

“If you’ve got a gun, you should be ashamed of yourself,” said Grand Rapids Mayor David LaGrand. NRA-ILA also noted that in his response to a police K-9 chasing down a suspect, LaGrand said: “It is time that we ask, ‘What are dogs good for?’ Like, if you need a dog to find someone in the woods, get a hound dog. If you need to chase somebody in a backyard, why couldn’t you do that with a drone? If my dog did what I saw in that video, I’d put my dog down.”
