LEDE Don't Tread On Me Buckets

In keeping with the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States, Remington has announced the release of its ‘Don’t Tread on Me’ ammo buckets. For those who appreciate high-volume shooting, these ammo buckets will certainly have an appeal—and the fact that they bear the Gadsden flag emblem and motto will make them a collector’s item. Remington has opted for a quartet of different cartridges, and all are popular choices.

The .22 LR bucket sees a 1,400 count of cartridges, loaded with a 36-grain hollowpoint, at a muzzle velocity of 1,260 fps. For the handgunner who likes to turn cartridges into spent brass, Remington stuffs 300 rounds of 9mm Luger with a 115-grain hollowpoint, leaving the muzzle at 1,145 fps. This should make an excellent option for those long training sessions we all should be involved with.

For the rifle crowd, the ‘Don’t Tread on Me’ has two different options: the .223 Remington and the 7.62x39mm. The former has a 200-round count in the bucket, featuring a 45-grain jacketed hollowpoint projectile at 3,550 fps. This should not only appeal to the varmint/predator hunters, but to the AR crowd as well. For those who enjoy time with their AK-47 or Ruger Mini-30, Remington’s bucket offers the 125-grain pointed softpoint bullet, at a muzzle velocity of 2,365 fps.

The Gadsden flag certainly represents the defiant American spirit, and Remington represents over 200 years of American shooting history. Grab yourself a bucket or two, and take some buddies to the range. For more information, visit remington.com.

Michigan Mayor Looks Down on Guns and Dogs

NRA-ILA also noted that in his response to a police K-9 chasing down a suspect, LaGrand said: “It is time that we ask, ‘What are dogs good for?’ Like, if you need a dog to find someone in the woods, get a hound dog. If you need to chase somebody in a backyard, why couldn’t you do that with a drone? If my dog did what I saw in that video, I’d put my dog down.”
