Buck Stockman

Buck Stockman 301 Knife

There’s a reason your grandfather likely carried a Stockman-style knife: because it’s small enough to fit in your pocket, and handy enough to handle just about any job you can throw its way, including skinning a beautiful winter coyote. The new Buck Stockman 301 features a wood handle and three super sharp blades: a 3-inch clip-point for detailed work; a 2.1-inch sheepsfoot blade for cutting; and a 2.1-inch blade that is ideal for skinning. Each blade is made from 420HC steel, and, of course, the knife is made in the U.S.A. $89.99; buckknives.com

Lucky Duck Revolt 2

Lucky Duck Revolt 2.0

This electronic game call features high-output speakers with a base that rotates to blast coyote love sounds in 360 degrees. It also incorporates a three-speed motorized decoy to entice wary dogs with erratic movement they can’t resist. This call comes with 200 pre-loaded, live-animal sounds, and has the capacity to hold a lot more—up to 2,000 more! To top it off, the call, speaker rotation and decoy movement can be controlled via long-range remote control from up to 300 yards away. $599; luckyduck.com

Springbok Bipod

Spartan Precision SpringBok Bipod

With a silicone head, which allows for a wide range of articulation while your rifle is mounted to the sticks, the SpringBok Bipod from Spartan Precision frees you from a static shooting position. The SpringBok allows you to pan, tilt and track a moving target while still providing the stability to take precision shots when the time is right. Add to that its quick-deploying MagnaSwitch magnetic attachment system and adjustable carbon-fiber legs, and you’ve got a versatile system that works with you, not against you. $249.99; javelinbipods.com

Mossberg Patriot Predator

Mossberg Patriot Predator .22-250

The Mossberg Patriot chassis system has been a proven winner since its introduction in 2014. When that system was placed into their upgraded Predator platform, featuring a fluted, threaded and suppressor-ready barrel with a match crown, and an optics-ready Picatinny rail, a true precision rifle was born. Mossberg has recently extended the Predator lineup with a few new chamberings, including the flat-shooting and coyote-crumbling .22-250 Rem. weighing only 6.5 pounds. $658; mossberg.com

#SundayGunday: Leupold VX-6 HD Gen 2

Michigan Mayor Looks Down on Guns and Dogs

“If you’ve got a gun, you should be ashamed of yourself,” said Grand Rapids Mayor David LaGrand. NRA-ILA also noted that in his response to a police K-9 chasing down a suspect, LaGrand said: “It is time that we ask, ‘What are dogs good for?’ Like, if you need a dog to find someone in the woods, get a hound dog. If you need to chase somebody in a backyard, why couldn’t you do that with a drone? If my dog did what I saw in that video, I’d put my dog down.”
