Guests from throughout the firearms industry frequently visit the editors of NRA Publications, and a few weeks ago the visitors in question were the fine folks from TriStar Arms. I'm a little remiss in discussing their trip to our Fairfax, Va., headquarters, but it's been a busy spring.

After getting the rundown on the company's hottest new wares, a few NRA personnel—including Editorial Director John Zent, American Rifleman Editor in Chief Mark Keefe and I—joined the TriStar reps at nearby Bull Run Regional Park to bust a few clays. Yes, TriStar's in the pistol business, too, but on this particular warm spring day, their scatterguns would be put to work.

Hang on, there—I'm not going to bore you with a play-by-play of our afternoon—just trust me when I say that the products we had in hand ran flawlessly. Particularly the Viper G2 SR Sport, which is the flashy red thing pictured above. I did, however think it'd be prudent to share some of the company's new-for-2015 announcements. Keep reading for details on some of the new releases from the self-styled "Value Experts."

SR Sport Youth Model
First up is the Viper G2 SR Sport Youth model, which is a 20-gauge addition to the company's already popular line. The 20 ga. SR Sport Youth weighs just over 6 pounds, and comes with a 26-inch barrel with a red fiber optic sight. It'll shoot 2¾-inch and 3-inch shells interchangeably and, like its "big brother," has a striking, Ferrari-red anodized receiver. It will be priced at $549.

Viper G2 Bronze
Another new release for 2015 is the Viper G2 Bronze, a shotgun that's been designed with more nostalgic hunters and target shooters in mind. The old school look and feel, brought together by a Bronze Cerakote finished receiver and a stock and forearm made of high-grade Turkish walnut, is available in both 12- and 20-gauge variants. It ships with an MSRP of $759.

20-Gauge Cobra Field Pump
TriStar's Cobra Field Pump shotgun isn't anything new, but its 20-gauge version certainly is. The new 20-gauge line extension comes in three lightweight models that range from 5.4 to 6.9 lbs., with varying barrel lengths. It can be had in a black synthetic version, Next Micro Print or Muddy Girl camouflage. There's a youth model on the way, too. Prices will range from $349-$489.
