Ruger Announces AR-556 Pistol in .300 Blackout

Ruger has announced the second addition to its AR-556 Pistol line, chambered in .300 AAC Blackout.

The .300 Blackout variant of Ruger’s AR-556 Pistol features an adjustable SB Tactical SBA3 Pistol Stabilizing Brace that includes an integral QD sling points.

The pistol also features a 10.5-inch cold-hammer forged, threaded barrel with a 1:7″ twist, along with a pistol-length gas system that can cycle both super- and sub-sonic loads from the included 30-round magazine. The barrel is surrounded by a 9-inch aluminum free-float handguard with M-LOK slots in the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions. It also includes a full-length rail for mounting optics.

The AR-556 Pistol in .300 Blackout weighs less than 6 pounds, and is compact, measuring between 25 and 27.6 inches (depending on brace length) long and 7.2 inches tall. The .300 Blackout AR-556 Pistol costs $50 more than its 5.56 NATO counterpart, with an MSRP of $949.
