Faced with a five-squirrel deficit going into the afternoon, my team knew we needed to hunt hard. We checked the zeros on our Gamo air rifles. We petted TC for luck. And we killed 30 squirrels in three hours to beat the second-place team (Johnston and the Bone Collector boys) by 13 bushytails. Success is sweet, especially when it comes by squirrel.
