Just days before the annual NASGW showcase, Hornady has rolled out its new-for-2016 product announcements. Chief among them, as far as hunters are concerned, is the upcoming Hornady Precision Hunter line.
Due to the size of the .300 Win. Mag. cartridge, pairing with an AR-15 or AR-10 receiver is impossible, so NEMO (New Evolution Military Ordnance) Arms took to the drawing board to create a rifle that houses qualities of the AR platform, and did so around a magnum cartridge that’s been a favorite among long-range shooters and hunters.
Federal Premium has announced the arrival of its new Edge TLR product line, a dedicated series of long-range hunting ammunition. Using a polymer-tipped, boat tail bullet, with a small lead core at the front, the TLR bullet has shown to give consistent expansion at distances out to 900 yards, and while that is an extreme distance for a hunting bullet, it’s nice to know that even at lower velocities you’ll get good performance.
