Big-game hunters seeking Swift Bullets in factory-loaded cartridges got a boost earlier this month with the formal unveiling of Swift High Grade Ammunition. Rather than relying on component sales or other ammo makers loading its projectiles, Swift wants to ensure that ready supply is there to meet demand for factory rounds bearing A-Frame, Scirocco II and new Break-Away Solid projectiles.

Federal Premium has announced the arrival of its new Edge TLR product line, a dedicated series of long-range hunting ammunition. Using a polymer-tipped, boat tail bullet, with a small lead core at the front, the TLR bullet has shown to give consistent expansion at distances out to 900 yards, and while that is an extreme distance for a hunting bullet, it’s nice to know that even at lower velocities you’ll get good performance.

Winchester's new Deer Season XP Copper Impact bullet is designed for rapid expansion upon impact. Its engineered hollow-point cavity delivers excellent terminal performance, and the solid copper bullet increases weight retention over standard jacketed lead-core bullets.
