NRA Hunters’ Leadership Forum contributor Tim Flanigan of Bedford, Pa., received the Mason-Dixon Outdoor Writers Association’s (M-DOWA) First Place Talbot Denmead Memorial Award for “Best on Conservation and/or the Environment,” for “Who Really Cares About Conservation,” his article published at NRAHLF.org.

A billboard reading, “Wanna see bears? SAY NO! TO TROPHY HUNTING,” was spotted by NRAHLF.org contributor Keith Crowley just outside Yellowstone National Park. The sign stands as a grizzly-sized testament to the anti-hunting crowd’s ignorance on the matter of wildlife management.

Whether opposing regulations or spearheading legislation, NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action makes lifting the ivory ban a top priority.

Arizona hunters may no longer be able to take mountain lions or bobcats, as SB 1182, a bill drafted by Arizona State Sen. Steve Farley (D-Tucson), seeks to end the hunting of the big cats. Backed by a fine of no less than $8,000, and potentially much more, the bill, if passed, would make mountain lions and bobcats a “protected” species.

As news of the NRA Hunters' Leadership Forum Web portal on AmericanHunter.org spreads at the 44th Annual SCI Hunters' Convention, Feb. 3-6, American hunters get set to chime in and influence the conversation in the public domain on hunting and wildlife conservation and proactively address the cultural war on hunting.

The NRA Hunters' Leadership Forum has announced the return of support for the Hunters for the Hungry subsidy program. A total of $60,000 has been committed to fund HFH affiliates throughout the country to cover the cost of processing, shipping and distributing donated meat.
