Rob Keck knows a little something about hunting turkeys—he did, after all, spend 27 years as the CEO of the National Wild Turkey Federation. So when he talks about turkey hunting, you'd be wise to listen.

The National Wild Turkey Federation is asking members—both current and prospective—to "Rise and Fly" and help spread the mission's good word.

Earlier this spring, NRA Pubs' Tom Rickwalder journeyed to Florida to hunt Osceola turkeys with the National Wild Turkey Federation, Bushnell and Federal Premium, among others. After tagging his bird, he was given the chance to hunt a management alligator in the state's swampland. Guided by Justin Guerry of Osceola Outdoors, Tom took his first-ever shot at a gator.

Since 1973 the National Wild Turkey Federation has fought to conserve wild turkeys and protect the hunting heritage. In 2016, the organization is asking for your help. More specifically, it's asking members—both current and prospective—to "Rise and Fly" and help spread the mission's good word.
