A lot of folks know Daniel Defense for its popular tactical rifle lines—and we don't blame anyone for that. Hunters, though, will know more about Daniel Defense before long. For 2016, the company is rolling out its new Ambush hunting line, which will initially be chambered in .308. Kryptek and Realtree patterns will be available.

Ruger one-ups its popular medium-framed GP100 this year by giving the revolver's cylinder an extra round. The seven-shot GP100 is available in .327 Fed. Mag. and .357 Mag., with barrel lengths of 2.5, 4.2 and 6 inches.

At its introduction, Ruger’s Mark IV .22 Long Rifle pistol was offered in two models and three SKUs. Ruger's American Rifle has been a success since day one, so it's little surprise that the line has continued to grow with each passing year. 2016 will be no different—for the first time, Ruger is making the American available in magnum calibers.

Offering accuracy, dependability, modularity and value, the Ruger Precision Rifle has been steadily flying off shelves since its summer 2015 introduction. More recently, the manufacturer has announced that an advanced version of the platform is already on the way. The Ruger Precision Rifle "Enhanced" model will be available soon. It features a few small changes to the design that should leave it even more intriguing to long-range-shooting enthusiasts.

The Model 11/111 Hog Hunter stems from the Model 110 rifle action that has made Savage so popular. Designed with the nation's ever-growing feral pig population in mind, the Hog Hunter features a 20" barrel that comes factory threaded for any muzzle device that you might have in mind. And, starting this year, it became available in .338 Federal.
