The Howa Carbon Elevate has brought bench-gun accuracy and utility to the hunting world without resorting to a package that can’t practically be hauled afield.
Just in time for the peak of predator season, Japanese manufacturer Howa recently teamed up with Nevada-based Legacy Sports International to introduce the lightweight Mini Action rifle.
Among the lightest hunting rifles on the market, the Super Lite lives up to its name with a mere 4-pound, 7-ounce weight. This is aided by its lightweight Stocky's stock and a unique action that sits between the Howa Mini Action and Short Action in terms of size.
Sporting threaded-and-capped barrels in 1/2-28 TPI for all blued calibers, as well as stainless offerings in .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor, the Howa 1500 Gen. 2 GamePro offers a setup for any shooter.
Legacy Sports International has announced that its Howa Mini Action will be available in 6.5 Grendel for 2015, making it the first bolt-action of its kind. Current available calibers include .204 Ruger, .222 Rem. and .223 Rem.
