Lapua has expanded its True-Range Expanding (TRX) family of products to include several new ammunition offerings. Lapua TRX polymer-tipped, solid-copper projectiles are crafted for hunters and precision shooting enthusiasts who demand the high standards in exterior ballistics and terminal performance. TRX delivers these high ballistic coefficients, promoting a flat-shooting trajectory and wind drift resistance.

Lapua TRX ammunition is now offered in the following cartridges, the last two of which are new for 2026.

  • 6.5 Creedmoor 120 Grain TRX
  • 6.5 x 55 Swede 120 Grain TRX
  • .308 Winchester 150 Grain TRX
  • .30-06 Springfield 165 Grain TRX
  • .300 Winchester Magnum 165 Grain TRX

Upon impact, TRX promises excellent energy transfer and nearly 100-percent weight retention. Whether stalking big-game or small- to mid-sized animals, TRX delivers on penetration and controlled "mushrooming" expansion at longer distances, with a lead-free harvest.

"The marketplace is flooded with tipped, solid-copper bullets and ammunition, all with suspect accuracy and precision," stated Jarkko Aro, Lapua's vice president of sales & marketing. "TRX Bullets and Ammunition raise the bar for long-range precision and terminal ballistics, making it the best choice for your hunt of a lifetime."
