Lederevenant Jacket And Bib Lifestyle

In folklore and fiction, a "revenant" returns to resolve unfinished business. In real life, it could mean a return to that same tree on that same acreage to settle a score with the ghost buck that haunted last season. In that determined spirit, ScentLok has introduced the upgraded BE:1 Revenant Jacket and Bib, designed to be a trusted companion through the last minute, of the last day of the season.

The decidedly warm jacket and bib are constructed to hunt through the coldest possible conditions. To achieve this, ScentLok combined some of the finest fabrics and insulation available with proprietary technologies.

Revenant's fabric package begins with a warm, plush and durable Berber fleece exterior that is also known to be extremely quiet. This particular fleece has a lofty, curly pile that traps still air, which boosts thermal insulation, breathes well and wicks away moisture.

Revenant's windproof functionality is delivered via ScentLok's exclusive WindBrake technology. The breathable membrane-barrier stops wind from robbing body heat, while letting perspiration vapor escape.

Insulation is provided by Primaloft Silver, a lightweight and soft polyester-based insulation engineered to simulate the loft and warmth of down, and retain its performance even in wet conditions. The Primaloft Silver fibers create tiny air pockets that trap body heat, yet are treated to resist water absorption, so the insulation still performs when damp. Even further, Revenant takes Primaloft Silver to the next level through thermal-mapped zone insulation. ScentLok uses body mapping to strategically place varying insulation levels and breathable zones based on heat production, sweat rates, and activity needs, optimizing warmth without overheating. In the case of Revenant, that equates to employing 133g Primaloft Silver in core areas like the chest, back, and backside of the bibs, and lighter 80g Primaloft Silver in zones requiring greater motion like the arms and legs.

Revenant Jacket and Bib

Internally, Revenant boasts a smooth and comfortable grid fleece. The geometric patterning helps maintain loft and reduce pilling by keeping the fleece in place. Moreover, it boosts the fabric's warming capacity and eliminates the noticeable "droop" in linings that aren't similarly secured.

Next, Revenant's advanced Carbon Alloy combines treated carbon, activated carbon and zeolite to absorb odors emitted by the body. Carbon Alloy utilizes natural coconut shell carbon, as it has the largest internal surface area of any carbon on earth. This massive surface area promotes the adsorption of the broadest scent molecule range. It innately secures these molecules and holds them until gear is reactivated in a household dryer.

From a design perspective, the Revenant Jacket sleeves are quilted lengthwise to temper any bulking of the lush Berber fabric. This affords cleaner mobility for climbing, glassing, drawing, etc. The arms also include smartly placed telescopic Lycra cuffs with thumbholes. In use, they further lock in off-putting human scents while keeping the cold outside. The jacket's adjustable waist also serves to trap heat.

The Revenant Bib offers eight perfectly-placed-pockets to secure a day's worth of gear. Comfortable ladder-style, adjustable suspenders hold the bibs just right while articulated knees and inner thigh gusseting advance mobility. For more information, visit scentlok.com.
