Last week, Mossberg announced through social media that a line of Mossberg “Duck Commander” shotguns and rifles will be available for Fall 2013. Given that A&E’s popular “Duck Dynasty” is the most popular reality show on television—even trouncing Fox’s "American Idol"—Mossberg has got to be “happy happy happy” to market these guns.
Presumably we’ll see the Duck Commander crew switch from shooting Benellis to Mossbergs. However, Phil’s also been known to dig out his old Browning A5, which was once his trademark gun. Will he continue to do so or stick exclusively to a “Duck Commander” Mossberg?
Few details about the gun have been released. According to a company press release, “Mossberg will work with the Robertsons to develop a line of branded ‘Duck Commander’ guns across multiple categories including pump-action and autoloading waterfowl shotguns.”
Let’s just hope Uncle Si doesn’t build them.
