The iconic company is introducing a new generation of ammo for a new generation of hunters and shooters in the 21st century.

Just days before the annual NASGW showcase, Hornady has rolled out its new-for-2016 product announcements. Chief among them, as far as hunters are concerned, is the upcoming Hornady Precision Hunter line.

Big-game hunters seeking Swift Bullets in factory-loaded cartridges got a boost earlier this month with the formal unveiling of Swift High Grade Ammunition. Rather than relying on component sales or other ammo makers loading its projectiles, Swift wants to ensure that ready supply is there to meet demand for factory rounds bearing A-Frame, Scirocco II and new Break-Away Solid projectiles.

For 2016, Savage Arms is taking its popular Model 42 combination gun a step further by introducing the new Model 42 Takedown, making it even more portable.

Ruger's American Rifle has been a success since day one, so it's little surprise that the line has continued to grow with each passing year. 2016 will be no different—for the first time, Ruger is making the American available in magnum calibers.

Last year, vaunted Spanish barrel maker announced that it'd be producing full-fledged performance rifles.
