Bullet Bio: Remington Core-Lokt

In 1939, the .308 Win. had not been invented yet, and it would be 23 more years before anyone heard of the Remington Model 700. However, 1939 was the year Remington would change hunting history with the introduction of the Core-Lokt.

Hardware: Mossberg MVP Predator

Give an American a handy, accurate, magazine-fed bolt gun in a caliber like .308 Win. and he can do many things, including win battles, defend castles, take deer and wild pigs, and have a blast dinging targets nearly as far as he can see. Keep it under $700, too? Mossberg is onto something.

Hardware: Styrka S7

The crowded and competitive nature of the $300-$800 bino market is a great thing for buyers—but not necessarily sellers. And so when I heard a new company named Styrka had entered the business, I had to question its approach. What more could Styrka offer in a bino with a street price of about $650 that’s not already available?

The AR-10

DPMS President Randy Luth used one of his company’s AR-10 offerings, a Panther LR-260L chambered in .260 Rem., to make a 330-yard shot on his sheep hunt.
