U.S. Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service have announced the winner of the National Junior Duck Stamp Contest: 12-year-old Isaac Schreiber of Duffield, Va.

The Federal Duck Stamp Act of 2014, which has the support of Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl, could raise the price of stamps from $15 to $25.

A Ducks Unlimited-supported Senate bill introduced last month could raise the price of a federal duck stamp for the first time since 1991.

Therefore there's no better year than this to join a growing waterfowl conservation tradition: buying not just one, but two duck stamps. I like to frame one stamp, and tuck my signed stamp (the one I hunted with) inside my duck journal as a memento.

The South Carolina General Assembly has agreed to legislation that will enact a fee increase to the state’s migratory waterfowl permit, for the improvement of waterfowl habitat on Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs).

In a voice vote on Monday, Nov. 17, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill to raise the price of federal duck stamps from $15 to $25. The bill now moves to the Senate.

The 2021-22 Federal Duck Stamp goes on sale Friday, June 25. The stamps, which cost $25 and raise about $40 million for conservation annually, are valid from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022.
