Your National Rifle Association (NRA) has unveiled its new official NRA App, marking a significant milestone in enhancing member engagement and delivering convenient access to essential NRA resources on the go.

"This launch represents months of dedicated effort, creativity, and outstanding teamwork to bring a bold vision to reality," said Doug Hamlin, Executive Vice President and CEO of the NRA. "The NRA App is more than a technical advancement—it's a clear demonstration of our commitment to innovation, courage, and relentless progress in defending the Second Amendment and serving our members."

The NRA is dedicated to modernizing its operations, delivering premium benefits to its members, and providing real-time Second Amendment updates. To achieve this goal, NRA staff developed a state-of-the-art app that brings everything members need in one easy-to-use location.

Key Features:

  • Digital NRA Membership Card—Add your official NRA membership card directly to your Apple Wallet (or compatible digital wallet) for quick and easy access.
  • Latest News from the NRA Institute for Legislative Action (ILA)—Stay up-to-date with breaking developments on Second Amendment rights and advocacy efforts.
  • Digital Magazines and Official Journals—Access your NRA publications, including both American Rifleman and American Hunterincluding several years of back issues—in a convenient digital format.
  • Local NRA Events—Discover nearby training courses, competitions, meetings, and other events using geolocation or by entering your zip code.
  • Member Benefits—Explore and activate exclusive discounts, offers, and perks available to NRA members.
  • Daily Fresh Content—Fresh news, gun and gear reviews, and stories on all aspects of the shooting sports are fed daily into the NRA App from every facet of NRA, and highlights from American Rifleman, American Hunter, NRA Women and Shooting Sports USA add to the NRA and Second Amendment news in the feed.

Explore and activate exclusive discounts, offers, and perks available to NRA members. The NRA App is now available for free download on the App Store for iOS devices and Google Play for Android devices. Members are encouraged to download it immediately and begin exploring its full capabilities.

NRA App Capabilities

While today's launch is a major step forward, the NRA views it as the beginning of an exciting new era. Future updates will continue to expand features and deliver even greater value to members. "This is only the beginning," Hamlin said. "The NRA is committed to enhancing our operations to meet the demands of our members in the digital age. In the coming weeks and months, the NRA will continue to roll out new initiatives that provide critical information to our members in real time and in formats that best suit them."

"Folks, we see all your complaints about the digital editions, and we can’t really argue with you. They are, however, a solution to the rising costs of publishing, evident mainly in the costs of paper, printing and postage. It’s just a fact that those prices continue to rise beyond our control, and as such the NRA Board of Directors made the decision to try to take back some control. To that end, we are happy to announce that the NRA mobile app.

The NRA app will contain a number of features and benefits for members. A Digital ID Card allows member access to his/her personalized NRA identification card to carry in one’s mobile wallet. Find Your NRA is a map that will show you everything from instructional classes, local events and ranges where you can shoot. Member Benefits will make it easy access benefits members have earned through their continued support. NRA Official Journals will grant access to American Hunter or American Rifleman directly through the app. NRA News will be a curated news feed from NRA-ILA, American Hunter, American Rifleman, NRA Women and Shooting Sports USA. New Members Sign Up will provide access to a map and news feed free to the public along with a sign-up form for membership—and, actually, these are already on our websites now. Push Notifications will make new member benefits, press releases, magazine availability and more known to members."
