Follow along as Senior Executive Editor Jon Draper and American Hunter Contributor Brad Fenson take on some late-season honkers in Alberta. While the general conception is that the birds in Canada would have moved south by mid-December, the fact is, here in southern Alberta, despite the single-digit temperatures, the Milk River still boast open water that the birds just don't want to leave. Combine that open water with an abundance of ag-fields, and you’ve got a good chance to catch big honkers as they trade from loafing to feeding. In part 1 of this adventure, the guys size up some birds and warm up the barrels on their Benelli SBE 3 A.I. shotguns. Tune in again this Thursday for part 2, right here on americanhunter.org.
