Mainbuck 663 Alpha Guide

Buck Knives, Inc. has announced the release of its Model 663 Alpha Guide fixed-blade knife. This larger hunting knife joins the 664 Alpha Hunter and more compact 662 Alpha Scout knives that were introduced earlier in 2023. The 664 Alpha Hunter boasts a blade almost a full inch shorter at 3.625 inches, and an overall weight of 4.59 ounces. The 662 Alpha Scout, meanwhile, is even smaller, with a 2.875-inch blade, and a 2.79-ounce weight. The Model 663 Alpha Guide rounds out this knife series with a full-size variant (dimensions below).

Walnut 663 Alpha Guide

The 663 Alpha Guide has many features designed with hunters and outdoorsmen in mind, including a 4.375-inch unswept drop-point blade made with Bos heat-treated S35VN stainless steel; removable layered Richlite (green) or Walnut (brown) Dymalux handles that are textured to aid with gripping—particularly in wet conditions—while still making cleaning the knife a breeze; a lanyard hole on the rear of the blade to assist with carrying or retention; and jimping along the blade’s spine to aid with control while cutting. The Alpha Guide is nine-inches long overall and tips the scale at five ounces. This hunting knife is made in the USA, has a made-in-the-USA leather sheath, and is covered under Buck Knives’ Forever Warranty.

Buck 663 Alpha Guide Sheath

The 663 Alpha Guide is the perfect size to pull double-duty as a camp knife and processing knife, particularly for bigger critters like elk. Its longer blade allows it to make all the cuts necessary on these larger animals, while still being small enough to maneuver on smaller game like whitetail and pronghorn. Around camp, its unswept drop-point blade makes it perfect for everything from feathersticks, to frying up game. Richlite 663 Alpha Guide

The Alpha Guide joins a wide range of tools offered by Buck Knives, for use by hunters, anglers, campers and outdoors enthusiasts in all pursuits. To learn more about the 663 Alpha Guide, check out buckknives.com. MSRP: $224.99
