undefinedAnother neat thing about the SCI Show: I bump into many outfitters I know, including some guys I've hunted with recently. Such is the case with Jamy Traut of Jamy Traut Hunting Safaris. I hunted with his outfit last year in Namibia's Caprivi Strip, where I killed an elephant bull. To fell the mighty beast, I emptied the magazine of my .458 Win. Mag. Kimber Caprivi, firing four 500-grain Federal Premium Trophy Bonded Sledgehammer Solids into him. Long after I'd left the country, Jamy's guys emailed me to say a bullet had been recovered from the carcass of the bull, and that Jamy would bring it to America this winter. This is that bullet. Notice it's bent a little bit: Driving through 5 tons of flesh and bone can do that. But I bet it still weighs 500 grains.
