Based upon the original Javelin design, the Javelin Lite—Long Bipod, from Spartan Precision Equipment, is designed to be carried in a pocket or pouch off the rifle until its services are required. Weighing only 4.7 ozs. (the standard- and short-leg variants weigh 4.6 and 4.5 ozs. respectively), the Javelin Lite—Long attaches via the "Spartan Magnetic Attachment System." This sticks the bipod to the rifle via a 12 mm Spartan Rifle Adapter, of which there are several varieties, including the "Universal Rifle Adapter" (for use with conventional hunting stocks), the "Gunsmith Adapter" (embedded into wood or synthetic rifle stocks), and those compatible with Picatinny rail, M-Lok, KeyMod or Anschutz/UIT.

Once attached, the bipod features a host of useful options, such as a locking cant setting to level the scope on uneven terrain (cant travel is fifteen degrees left and right); the ability to traverse thirty degrees left and right; and something termed "target mode," which enables bipod traverse action to become fixed for a tighter system. While leg length is fixed, upgrade sets are available to give a wider variety of leg-length options.
