Nosler 7Mm PRC Ammo Brass Lead

If you want the sure sign of a cartridge’s success, it is when most of the major manufacturers begin to offer their own brand of ammunition for it. The 7mm PRC can pretty well rest assured that it has made the big time, as not only does Hornady (the developer of the cartridge) have a trio of great loads, but it has been picked up by Federal Premium and Remington. As of 2024, Nosler offers a new load for the 7mm PRC in the Trophy Grade Ammunition line, as well as their excellent component brass for the reloading crowd.

Nosler 7mm PRC 175 grain Trophy Grade ammunition.

Nosler’s Trophy Grade ammunition has always been a wonderfully consistent product, having long been a favorite in many of my rifles. In fact, their old 200-grain AccuBond load was the factory load that shot the best from my old .300 Holland & Holland, giving tight groups and consistent velocities. For the 7mm PRC, Nosler loads its proven 175-grain AccuBond Long Range bullet, with a G1 ballisitic coefficient (BC) of 0.648, and a sectional density (SD) of 0.310. With a muzzle velocity of 3000 fps, this load offers a flat trajectory, great performance in windy conditions and will retain a good amount of its energy. In fact, the 7mm PRC load will still have 1,500 ft.-lbs. of energy at 750 yards. The AccuBond Long Range is a bonded core bullet, with a polymer tip and boattail, and is tough enough to handle high impact velocities (even from the magnum-level speeds of the 7mm PRC), yet is soft enough up front to give reliable expansion at lower impact velocities, as are presented on long shots. The combination of the 7mm PRC cartridge and Nosler ABLR bullet, as loaded by Nosler, should prove a winner. Sold in 20-count boxes.

Nosler is also offering their Premium Brass cases for those who wish to handload their 7mm PRC ammunition. Delivered ready-to-load, with the case mouth chamfered and deburred, as well as with the flash holes deburred and inspected for alignment. I’ve used Nosler’s component brass for a number of shooting and hunting projects, and I’ve always been happy with their stuff. Sold in 50-count boxes.
