The Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation (SAF) has appealed a court order denying a preliminary injunction that prohibited the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) from enforcing a ban on importing puppies into the United States.

On May 21, the Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation, along with Safari Club International and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, completed briefing in a trio of lawsuits brought by animal extremist groups to relist wolves in the Northern Rocky Mountain region under the Endangered Species Act (ESA).

On Friday, March 7, the Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation (SAF), along with Safari Club International (SCI) and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF), filed for summary judgment in a trio of lawsuits brought by animal-extremist groups to relist wolves in the Northern Rocky Mountain region under the Endangered Species Act (ESA).

Animal extremist groups have recently announced their decisions to hire additional attorneys to challenge predicted federal government regulations and actions regarding energy, the environment and endangered species.

The National Rifle Association joined several other organizations to appeal an erroneous decision of the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana, denying the pro-hunting organizations’ efforts to intervene in and defend the expansion of hunting opportunities on federal lands.

The Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation presented oral arguments to Washington Supreme Court.

The Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation filed suit in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan against the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to rescind a new rule restricting the importation of dogs into the United States.
