Get a closer look at the Winchester Model 70 Extreme TrueTimber VSX MB, the latest addition to our #SundayGunday series.

Winchester has announced the launch of its latest addition to the venerable Model 70 line in the Ultimate Shadow Hunter SS. The Shadow Hunter SS sports a lightweight synthetic stock in the new Mossy Oak Break-Up Country camouflage pattern, alongside a stainless steel receiver that features the popular pre-'64 style controlled round feeding with claw extractor and fixed ejector.

When SHOT Show 2016 opens on Tuesday, word of countless new product releases will quite literally steal the show. And yes, while the Winchester brand will have no shortage of new surprises for its consumers, the company will also begin what promises to be a year-long celebration.

Although the ammunition and gun businesses split up years ago, the two entities—Winchester Ammunition and Winchester Repeating Arms Co.—this year have teamed to celebrate the brand’s 150-year-old legacy.

A legendary brand was launched in 1866, and 150 years later Winchester is celebrating its founding with a series of commemorative offerings. Among them is a once-in-a-lifetime series of 10, pre-production rifles, chambered in 44-40, of the "One of Five Hundred" Model 1866 "Yellow Boy."

As its name suggests, the Winchester Super X Pump Long Beard is decidedly a turkey shotgun, and it has several traits that give it an edge over general-purpose scatterguns when facing a springtime showdown.

Winchester has expanded its XPR line of rifles with the XPR Extreme Hunter Midnight MB. Available in a wide variety of calibers, including the new 6.8 Western, it sports TrueTimber Midnight camouflage on its rigid composite stock.
